BYC qualify for semifinals

The champions of the Liberia football Association national league and the FA super cup Barrack Young Controllers, (BYC) have qualified for the semi finals of the Coco-Cola top eight tournament.

Their qualification in the pre-season tournament came after defeating Mighty Barrolle and Nimba United FCs, respectively with six points in Group A.

The team  will this Friday play runner-up  from Group B, while the champ from Group B will play Group A’s runner-up.

LISCR FC has two points next to BYC in Group A after they drew with Mighty Barrolle and Nimba United FCs at the ‘blue house.’

Other teams in Group A are Mighty Barrolle at 3rd place on the table with one point and Nimba United FC.

In Group B, NPA Anchors lead the table with four points after their 4-0 victory against F.C Fassell and a draw with Invincible Eleven at the PHP stadium in Monrovia on Monday.

Mighty Barolle over the weekend drew with LISCR FC 2-2 in the ongoing Coco-Cola tournament at the BYC stadium in Monrovia.

The Rollers are second division team in the Liberia Football Association national league. They have not had impressive performance on the field of play for some time.

However, their first game in the Coco-Cola tournament seems to indicate the team is ready to show what it is made up in the national league.  

Mighty Barrolle is one of the top eight teams in the Coca Cola Bottling Company’s newest Phenomena Tournament. 

In the first game of the tournament, Barrack Young Controllers (BYC) flogged Nimba United 1-0, while Barrolle held LISCR to a 2-2 draw. 

In the 49th minute of the match, BYC received red card and converted it it into   a goal in the 71st minute. 

Last Saturday, NPA Anchors convincingly hit one of the best teams in the tournament’s favorite FC Fassell 4-0 at the blue filed in PHP community, while IE outshines Aries FC 1-0.

On Sunday, 3 May Nimba United football club drew with LISCR FC 1-1, while Mighty Barrolle and Barrack Young Controllers settled at half time 1-0 in favor of BYC.
