Car crash kills 2

At least two persons died instantly as a result of a motor accident involving two trucks in Margibi County, leaving 15 others seriously wounded. Four of the survivors are reportedly in very critical condition and there are plans to refer them to Monrovia.

The accident occurred over the weekend in Jenneta, Konoquelleh Clan, Cinta Township, District#5. The driver of one of the trucks along with several passengers onboard sustained serious injuries, including a smashed head.

Eyewitnesses told The NewDawn two 10-tyre trucks were travelling in the same direction from Montserrado County to Grand Gedeh when one decided to overtake the other, but lost control and banged against the road.

Eyewitnesses said the truck in the rear had onboard many persons and building materials, including coverts, but the driver took the risk to overtake in a curve when he lost control of his wheel and fell into a valley on the opposite lane of the road.

The truck was seen laying on one side with its tyers showing up.
