Chief Justice consoles children made orphans by Ebola

The Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Liberia, His Honor Francis Korkpor and Associate Justice Kabineh Ja’neh, have paid tribute to children made orphans by the Ebola virus across the country.

Speaking to staff of the Ganta Ebola Treatment Unit recently in Ganta, Nimba County, Chief Justice Korkpor and Associate Justice Ja’neh regretted the death of parents, whose children have been rendered orphans.

Chief Justice Korkpor led a team of Associate Justices in a tour of the county to donate food to various institutions providing care for Ebola patients. During the tour, they donated 20 bags of rice to orphans at the Ganta United Methodist Ebola Treatment Center on behalf of the judiciary.

Meanwhile, Chief Justice Korkpor has encouraged Circuit and Magisterial courts across the country to help de-congest prisons in the wake of the Ebola crisis.
