The Church charity Christian Aid, has donated food and anti-Ebola materials to Charity Liberia. The donation was made Monday by the Public Relations Officer of Christian Aid, Anthony Reeves.
Mr. Reeves said that Charity Liberia is not the first group to have received donation from his organization since the outbreak, adding that Christian Aid had donated lot of Personal Protective Equipment to many health sectors in and around Monrovia.
He noted that this time around, they decided to give to charity, especially old folks who really need such assistance during this period. He also said that the organization believes that these materials will help the old folks, who are not working and unable to fetch food for themselves.
Charity Liberia caters to less fortunate people regularly, providing them food, clothing, medicare, shelter and comfortable sleeping environment, and psychosocial counseling services, among others.
It also goes into various communities to take in less fortunate people and provide them proper care as well as seek support from philanthropists, institutions, and every sector of society both locally and internationally. Charity Liberia thanked the Christian Aid Organization for the meaningful contribution and promised that the items provided will be utilized for the intended purpose.
