Church of Christ donates US$28,000 medical supplies

The Central Church of Christ based in Sanniquellie, Nimba County has donated a 40ft. container of medical supplies to over 10 hospitals and clinics in the county.

 

The donation reportedly came from a US-based sister Central Church of Christ.

Speaking to the NewDawn Nimba correspondent on Tuesday, Evangelist Joel Marcus and Minister Fester G. Lee of the Sanniquellie Central Church of Christ said the medical supplies were brought into the country to buttress Government’s fight against the killer disease, Ebola.

Liberia is recuperating from the virus, which killed over 8,000 people last year, including nurses, doctors, health workers and ordinary citizens. 

The two clergymen said the donation will go a long way in helping the country to eradicating the Ebola Virus Disease.They put the cost of items donated as over US$28,000.

Beneficiary health institutions include the Ganta United Methodist Hospital in Ganta; G.W. Harley Hospital in Sanniquellie; the Jackson F. Doe Referral Hospital in Tappita; and the Sacleapea Health Center.

Others include Bahn Health Center, Kpaytuo Clinic, Payee Clinic, Toweh Town Clinic and Wehyeplay Clinic, among others.
