Clubs of Liberians Win Championship

Many Liberians playing across the world have ended their leagues with a few clubs emerging as champions. The winning spree started in India where James Strongman Gbilee aided his club Shillong Lajong FC to progress to the I-League after winning the promotional playoff.

The forward completed his 3rd seasons in the league this season after he netted seventeen goals for Shillong Lajong FC. Former Watanga midfielder George Boe also joined the championship listing when his club, Aetos won the Greek 3rd division championship.

In Turkey, it was former Mighty Barrolle’s play maker Tonia Tisdell that landed the Turkish 1st division title ahead of Samsurspor FC. The club was tied on points with them, but less goals. Zah Krangar of Indonesian outfit Persipura Jayapura FC is the latest to joined the championship listing. His side ensured their title after whipping Persisasam.

Meanwhile, Sekou Jabateh was a member of the CSKA Moscow delegation which won the Russian Cup last May before he joined the national team’s 1-0 game against Cape Verde In Monrovia on June 5th this month.
