Cooper Finished 7th

Liberia’s only Representative at the International Athletic Youth Tournament currently underway in France, Ansley Cooper got on the track yesterday to honor his first international Heat in his career.

The 18 year-old footballer, who converted on the track ran on lane 5 in Heat-9 during which session he finished 7th place clocking 11.67 in the Men 100 Meter morning event. The qualification rule of the ongoing competition allows the first two winners from each Heat and the best eight times of other runners in various Heats.

Ansley Cooper honor is first local competition when his brother Sam Cooper was serving as head coach of Bong County Track and Field delegation in 2010. His first appearance on the track earned Bong County a place prize of that season. Cooper

reduced to the Track early this year under his brother Sam Cooper leadership and finish as Champion in the Men 100 meter event. During his days for Bong County, Cooper ran with the Irish sisters Anne and Fionnuala  Oconnell currently in Ireland pursing higher education.
