Montserrado County District#6 former Representative Cllr. Kuku Y. Dorbor from the 52nd Legislature chaired and co-chaired various committees besides lawmaking and providing oversight while in the House.
In August 2007 to March 2008 she chaired the Judiciary Committee, making sure Committee Reports were made to Plenary for approval; ensuring that public hearings were held with input and recommendations from the public and Committee meetings were called for discussion of draft laws, among other services.
In addition to legislative work, Cllr. Dorbor is deeply involved with humanitarian and community services such as scholarship scheme, women empowerment, construction of public toilets, hand pumps, bus stop, community halls and market buildings, including donation of bundles of zinc.
She has been very instrumental in restructuring community leaderships in the Coca-Cola Factory community, giving to the physically-challenged, Christian and Muslim communities, including renovation of local police cells and distribution of generators to police depots and hosted children party.
Cllr. Dorbor achieved these services working with Non-governmental organizations and development partners as well as engaging communities to make sure developmental packages are sustained, while contributing to schools and organizations.
