Court charges pastor with bigamy

The Ganta Magisterial Court in Ganta, Nimba County has charged Pastor James W. Jangbo with Bigamy and placed him on bail. Ganta City Solicitor Atty. Stephen N.G. Quoi, said Pastor James W. Jangbo has been placed on bill for 30 days and will report himself for questioning.

Pastor Jangbo was arrested by police on October 3, 2016, while wedding one Ruth Robert at the Dominion Church in Ganta. He had wedded his current wife Mabel Mamie Porte Jangbo on February 20, 2010 in Monrovia at the Great Commission Ministerial church in Chicken Soup Factory Community, Gardnersville.

Meanwhile, the Eighth Circuit Court in Sanniquellie, Nimba County has set free the Senior Pastor of the Believer Authority Christian Church in Ganta. Pastor John Bestman was accused of sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl at his Believer Authority Christian Church in Ganta.

According to Cllr. YarmieQuiquiGbeasaye, the court took the decision due to lack of evidence to adjudge Pastor Bestman guilt of the crime.
