CR Forum Plans Annual Meeting

Corporate Responsibility Forum Liberia or CR Forum convenes its Annual General Meeting this Thursday to review its activities and plans for the ensuing year 2014. The meeting, which is scheduled to bring together over 40 multilateral corporations, small-medium enterprises, international donor partners and the Government of Liberia, will take place at the Robert L. Johnson Resort Villas at 2:00PM on 5 December.

Press release issued here said during the meeting, Corporate Responsibility Forum Liberia will deliberate on issues of responsible investment, good corporate citizenship, and collective action for the sustainable development of Liberia.

The CR Forum is a private sector initiative that aims to promote responsible investment, good corporate citizenship and collective action for the sustainable development of Liberia. It provides a forum for sharing ideas and collaborating on corporate responsibility issues.

The Forum was officially inaugurated by President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf on February 12, 2010 in Monrovia. It coordinates corporate responsibility Programmers and provides a platform for sharing of lessons, experiences and best practices on corporate responsibility in the private sector.

It also supports capacity building and good business practices among companies and corporations; provides ongoing support and advice for small medium enterprises with regard to good business practices and local economic integration, among others.
