Crazy Man Kills One – Wounds Several

A 30-year-old madman has killed a man, 39, and wounded six others, including two kids, whose hands were chopped off in Sanniquellie, Nimba County. According to eyewitness, the insane man committed the act at about 11:00 AM on Sunday, September 8, while most residents were outdoors.

He is said to have resided in Sanniquellie for a long period of time, but last Sunday went on the rampage, killing and wounding peaceful citizens. The 39-year-old victim has been identified as William Sahngon. Family members of his victims reportedly retaliated by inflicted serious wounds on the attacker.

The latest development brings to three the number instances in Nimba County involving mad man going on the rampage, attacking peaceful residents. It can be recalled that a crazy man burnt down a rice farm in Yarwinmahnson in 2009, while early this year, an Ivorian mad man wounded several women in Ganta.

Authorities in the county are yet to make any arrest despite an increase of such attacks.
