CSA awards cash prize

The Director of the Human Resource Management Bureau at the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications, Ms. Sandra Madia Roberts, has been awarded a cash prize of US$1,000 by the Civil Service Agency or CSA for her excellence performance within the entity as winner for 2016.

According to Dr. Puchu L. Bernard, Madam Roberts deserves such prize because over the period, she has worked efficiently and tirelessly in discharging her duties and functions without lapses. She made the statement Thursday, June 23, 2016 at the celebration of an African Service Day held at the Paynesville City Hall in Paynesville.

The CSA Director General further said that it was necessary to recognize an individual who has worked assiduously well in the public sector. According to her, such recognition will only help to promote more creativity, innovation, as well as motivation among civil servants in executing their responsibilities whether rains or shine.

She also added that when recognitions are given to individuals on the basis of merit, it encourages others to put in more time to work harder so that they are also recognized in the public. Receiving the 2016 award, Ms. Roberts thanked the CSA and President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf for the recogniition as one of the hard workers within the public sector.

She also thanked several friends and family members for their supportive roles. She admonished other civil servants to also redouble their efforts so that they are also recognized.
