CU signs agreement with BCTC

Cuttington University (CU) and Bong County Technical College (BCTC) have signed a three – year institutional linkage agreement to strengthen academic excellence and broaden experiences between students of the two institutions.

The signing ceremony took place recently on the main campus of the BCTC in Gbarnga, Bong County. Our Bong County correspondent says under the agreement, CU will consider students from the Departments of Agriculture and Health Sciences at the BCTC upon their nomination to have access to CU’s Colleges of Agriculture and Allied Health Sciences.

Students to benefit the exchange program at Cuttington University under the agreement must have a minimum grade point average of 2.00 and sufficient academic preparation in the pre-nursing courses and skill required.

The document further states that after admission at the Cuttington University, BCTC students must meet the University’s standard and maintain a minimum grade point average of at least 2.50 to remain on the program.
During the period of the program, BCTC will pay relevant fees for clinical and laboratory directly to CU’s account.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, CU president Dr. Hermon Brown expressed hope that the facilities in the colleges of Allied Health Sciences and Agriculture will be maximize and utilized by students from BCTC.

The Cuttington academician says the program will help BCTC students to professionalize their academic studies in the county and the country at large.

For his part, BCTC acting president Dr. Charles Mulbah described the signing ceremony as a historic moment and part of efforts by his administration to provide quality education to students of the College.

The BCTC president says their decision to partner with the Cuttington University was a result of a vigorous assessment conducted since he took over the college.
