Cummings congratulates MOL

The political leader of the Alternative National Congress (ANC) Mr. Alexander Cummings has sent congratulatory messages to the Movement for One Liberia (MOL), a group comprising individuals from across political parties in the country.

The group recently celebrated its 1st Anniversary under the leadership of MacDella Cooper, a former Presidential candidate.

Mr. Cummings who was in attendance with his wife Mrs. Teresa Cummings said he was pleased to celebrate women leadership in politics. Recently the women of Liberia raised close to $10,000 USD to support female candidates currently in legal battles fighting to take their seats in the senate.

“I hope this is a small example of the power of women and the impact they can make in our politics. We must do more to encourage them and support affirmative actions to close the inequality gap that currently exists. This is why I support not just the 30% quota but at least 50%.

As opposition leaders, we must also strive to build good relationships with other members of the larger opposition bloc. I strived to do so during my Chairmanship of the CPP and will continue to do so as Political Leader of the ANC.

There’s no better time for the opposition to unite than now. Our country is at a crossroads, and it is not about any one personal ambition but the future of our country and our children’s children.
CONGRATULATIONS again to the MOL family and its Political Leader, Madam MacDella Cooper.” Mr. Cummings wrote on his social media page.
