DEA arrest notorious drug dealers in Ganta

The Liberia Drugs Enforcement Agency in Nimba county has arrested a notorious drug dealer in Ganta City.

The 30-year-old suspect only identified as ‘Russian worker’ was arrested alongside 34-year-old Suspect Isaac Flomo in possession of 178 grams of Heroin with a street value of US$5,984 or Liberian Dollar equivalent of LRD 897,600.

Speaking to reporters after the arrest, LDEA Nimba Commander Thomas Saye, said suspects Russian Worker and Isaac Flomo came from getting supplies from Monrovia when they were arrested at the Ganta Immigration Check Point.

Commander Saye explained the two suspects used key areas in their car that has no license plate to transport the contraband.

He said both suspects are currently at the Sanniqullie Central Prison, awaiting court trial.

At the same time, the LDEA county commander disclosed the arrest of ten Nigerians and five Liberians alongside the Deputy Immigration Commander assigned at the Luogatuo border in Nimba.

He said those arrested include Ben Wilson with 49 grams of Heroin wraps; Chris Cheap with 13 grams of Heroin wraps; Abraham Jack with 38 grams of Heroin wraps and Emmanuel Richardson with 44 kilograms of Marijuana. Others are Liberians Philip Wontoe with 2Kgs of Marijuana; Darlington Moore with 7Kg of Marijuana; Daniel Invoke with 11 grams of Heroin wraps; Lincoln Saye with 1 Kg of Marijuana; Russian Walker with 187 grams of Heroin wraps and Isaac Flomo with 187 grams of Heroin wraps, respectively.

Meanwhile, the LDEA says it has also arrested a representative hopeful from Maryland County Jasper Hene, with 22 grams of Heroin wraps.

Commander Saye said the two Nigerians were arrested alongside the deputy Immigration Commander assigned at the Luogatuo border, who was allegedly transporting them, including several other Liberians believed to have come from Nigeria with huge quantity of drugs at a police checkpoint near Ganta.
