The Grand Bassa County detachment of the Drug Enforcement Agency or DEA has arrested and charged two suspects with unlawful possession of narcotic drugs.
Speaking to this paper Tuesday, 22 December via mobile phone the DEA commander for Bassa, Major Joseph Taggedine, said the two suspects were arrested with 2.5kilograms of marijuana and 10grams of heroin.
According to him, the drugs arrested value thousands of Liberian dollars. The suspects identified as James Davis, 23, and Alvin Richards, both Liberians were arrested Monday in Grand Bassa County, subsequently charged and sent to court for prosecution.
Major Taggedine said his men have stepped up security to prevent the importation of narcotic drugs in the county and urged all community dwellers to cooperate with the joint security in raiding the county of dangerous drugs. By Bridgett Milton-Edited by Jonathan Browne
