DEA arrests 50 Kgs Marijuana`s 11 suspects

The Drugs Enforcement Agency [DEA] in Nimba County has raided criminal hid-outs in Saclepea, Central Nimba and seized 50kgs of marijuana. The raid was carried out in conjunction with officers of the Liberia National Police in Saclepea.

DEA commander for Nimba Col. Julius Karnubah said 11 suspected drugs users were arrested during the raid. Col. Karnubah narrated the suspected drug users had gathered near a creek outside Saclepea were they usually trade and take in dangerous substances.

Some residents of Saclepea told our Nimba County correspondent whenever they gather; free movement is obstructed in the city and surrounding communities. Meanwhile, the 11 suspects have been charged and transferred to Sanniquellie Central Prison, awaiting trial.
