District# 8 citizens honor Rep. Younquoi

Citizens of Gbannah Clan, District#8, Nimba County, have honored Representative Larry Younquoi and Madam Annie Younquoi for their hard work in the district.

Speaking at the honoring ceremony over the weekend in the district, the president of the Gbannah citizens Leelaamen Zarwolo, told reporters that since Representative Younquoi’s election in 2011, he has made an impact in their lives, including provision of improved water system and construction of an elementary school.

Zarwolo said Rep. Younquoi has been honored by both local and international organizations for his good representation as a lawmaker. The Gbannah Development Organization President further noted that their decision to honor the lawmaker is t encourage him to do more in the district.

He noted that since Representative Younquoi was elected, the lawmaker has introduced several bills in the House, most of which have been laws for the country.

In response, the Nimba County district#8 Lawmaker described the honor as another opportunity to do more for his people. Representative Larry Younquoi said, the citizens’ recognition of his work demonstrates that they have love for him.

Also speaking at the ceremony, Leewehpea District Commissioner,  Nya Dakiayee, said Representative Younquoi always indentifies with them whenever they embark on a self-help project.
