Dr. Korto donates to health facilities
A former Education Minister of Liberia, Dr. Joseph D. Z. Korto, has donated a consignment of medical equipment to 63 health facilities in Nimba County. Speaking at the donation ceremony in Sanniquellie, Nimba County recently, Dr. Korto said the initiative is intended to help government combat the Ebola virus.
He said the medical equipment came from an America based group, Project CUR and the Liberia Development Foundation. Dr. Korto put cost of the medical equipment at over US$30,000.00.
Receiving the equipment, Superintendent Fong Zuagele and the head for the Nimba County Health Team, Dr. Collins Bowah, thanked the ex-minister for the donation and assured him that the items will be utilized for the intended purpose. Dr. served as Minister of Education during President Sirleaf’s term in office after contesting for the Presidency against Madam Sirleaf in 2005 and losing.
