EC Weiah denies receiving Ebola money

An Executive Committee member of the Liberia Football Association, Mr. Wallace Weiah, has denied media report that he received US$1,500 from the president of the LFA Musa Bility to battle the Ebola epidemic in Liberia.

“I have never received money from the president of the LFA for Ebola, but what I got from the LFA is portion of honorarium due me which came twice in 2015 (US1,500) and 2016 (US$750), making it US$2,250,” he says.

According to Mr. Weiah, at no time did he receive a cent from the LFA boss to fight the virus here. He claims that each member of the LFA’s executive committee is entitled to US$250 monthly, which is US$3,000 annually when tallied.
