Edrick Foundation donates LD 100,000 to Bopolu students

A local group known as Edrick F. Noah Foundation, has donated 100,000 Liberian Dollars to the Bopolu District University Students Union in Gbarpolu County to facilitate the education of university students from the district.

The foundation, named in honor of a son of Bopolu, Edrick Noah, made the presentation during a scholarship fund drive as a way of promoting quality education in the district. Mr. Noah stressed the need to build capacity in the district through education, health and agriculture, adding that these sectors need to be strengthened so the people of Bopolu can have easy access to health facilities and job opportunities.

Speaking during the fund drive over the weekend in Bopolu, GbarpoluCounty, he pledged commitment to the students union and urged female students to prioritize their studies.

Mr. Noah said he will always stand by the people of Bopolu, especially young people of the district in helping them to achieve their dreams because they are future leaders.

Meanwhile, the Edrick F. Noah Foundation has hosted a one-day soccer tournament in Bopoluto promote unity among the people.

The event brought together over 500 citizens from across Gbarpolu County, including Senate President Pro-Tempore, ArmahJallah, whose team lost to the Old Timers of Bopolu District. By Ethel A. Tweh
