President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf has congratulated President Dilma Rouseff of Brazil on her election as President of that country.
A Foreign Ministry’s press release issued in Monrovia said in her message to her Brazilian counterpart, President Johnson Sirleaf, on behalf of Liberia conveyed hearty congratulations and best wishes to the Government and People of Brazil and added that Rouseff’s re-election as President of Brazil is undoubtedly an affirmation of the continued confidence the Brazilian people reposed in her visionary and distinguished leadership.
The Liberian leader said she hoped that Madam Rouseff’s second term in office will be marked by even greater achievement at home and abroad.
President Johnson Sirleaf stated that her Government looks forward to deepening cooperation between the two countries and peoples and at the same time expressed confidence that the tie of friendship between both nations will continue to grow as the two governments forge common front for the promotion of international peace, security and development.
She also prayed that the Almighty God will grant the Brazilian President wisdom, foresight and good health to successfully lead the people of Brazil.
