President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has congratulated Muslims for successfully concluding the Muslim’s holy month of Ramadan, one of the fundamental pillars in the Islamic faith.
“It is with great humility and sacred joy that I congratulate you for the strength to successfully conclude the Eid al-Fitr,” is quoted as telling Muslims in Liberia and the world-over. According to an Executive Mansion release, the Liberian leader made the assertion when she addressed Muslims at the end of the holy month of Ramadan on Friday, July 17, 2015.
The President thanked all Muslims for keeping the Nation in their prayers during those challenging moments of the last 30 days of fast, isolation and intimate supplications to the creator, Allah; noting that all Liberians are grateful for their commitment to relentlessly put forth to Allah our numerous challenges – thus asking for His wisdom and guidance to lead and protect this nation.
“We thank you for praying for continued peace, stability and the prosperity of our country and its people and implore you to remain mutually and sacredly engaged as we work together for the greater good of Liberia in spite of our difference as a people,” she added, also calling on Allah to graciously remain the source of our strength, courage, devotion, love for country and renewal of a commitment to be torchbearers of peace and unity.-Press Release
