During the live event, Okay Fm broadcaster Mr. Smith Tobey described adramatic scene at ATS when former ruling Unity Party Chair Sen. VarneySherman allegedly refused to sit close to President Sirleaf as per protocol, allegedly necessitating the transfer of Defense MinisterBrownie Samukai to the vacant seat close to the President.

Cllr. Sherman has in recent months appeared to be portraying publicbitterness against President Sirleaf, mainly after he was indicted bythe Sirleaf regime in which he works as Senator before the ruling party held its convention in Gbarnga City, Bong County and elected Boakai as its new standard bearer.

Cllr. Sherman could not hide his disagreement with President Sirleaf atthe convention, as he faced accusation following a Global Witnessreport which alleges that he and dethroned House Speaker Alex Tyler and other officials solicited and received bribery to get Sable Mining secure a concession contract.
