Embassy of the State of Qatar – Monrovia celebrates National Sport Day 2016

The Qatari Embassy here ended the celebration of a sporting day here in commemoration of its National Sport Day in the State of Qatar, which is celebrated on the second Tuesday of February every year by the Government and the People of that oil rich country.

A statement issued by the Qatari embassy here says the aim of the celebration is to encourage its national and residents to take up a more active and healthy life style. It said during the commemoration, the Embassy of the State of Qatar- Monrovia proudly organized a friendly Football match and a Marathon between its staffs in Oldest Congo Town on Tuesday, February 9th, , 2016.

Some symbolic prizes were distributed by the Charge d’affairsa.i, Mr. ShamsanAlsadah to participants who showed up on Tuesday.
