Ex-contestant wants more running mates from Bong

A former representative candidate from electoral district three in Bong County Ansu Sesay says he’s supportive of more than one vice presidential candidate coming from the county.

He says it will be an opportunity for more the one running mate to come from Bong County in this year’s elections, noting that this would provide citizens a wider option in making sure one of the vice running mates is elected.
Speaking to this paper, Mr. Sesay, who contested in 2011 in the district on the ticket of the governing Unity Party, says in a runoff, the people of Bong could holistically support such candidate.

He argues that with only a candidate from the county in the race, one might not easily be sure that the particular candidate will go to runoff.

Mr. Sesay disagrees with suggestions in some corners that Bong Senator Jewel Howard Taylor now running mate to George Weah, should be the only one the county should support since she has become the first vice presidential candidate in the race for the October 10th elections.
