Exercise professionalism

Nimba County District#7 Representative Roger S.W.Y. Domah calls 71 graduates of the Saclepea School of Health Assistant to demonstrate professionalism, because the nation depends on them.

Addressing the graduates on the topic, “A healthy society is a wealthy society”, Representative Domah points to some benefits of a healthy life and its associated implications in driving the overall development of a nation.

He says no nation can progress in any direction without a healthy population to drive its developmental agenda. However, he cautions the graduates that they are a nurse aids, not surgeons, physicians, nurses or specialists, but have a duty to helping those professionals in optimizing their performance and service delivery.

He urges them to be professional and ethical in the discharge of their duties and reminds them of the Florence Nightingale Oath. The Saclepea School of Health Assistant runs a nine- month training program that contains both theoretical and practical exercises.

The school started with 98 students, but only 71 successfully completed their studies. At a well attendant graduation ceremony in Saclepea, Representative Domah continues that the knowledge the graduates acquired should be put in practice to help the nation.

He further urges them to move ahead in their career sojourn, rather than seeing the first step as a stopping point in life. The District#7 Lawmaker then donates 175 begs of cement to the administration of the school, urging them to do more by getting out there to enroll more young people into the program.
