Exodus Ordered Closed

The Liberia National Police (LNP) has ordered with immediate effect the closure of Exodus Entertainment Center located down Gurley Street in Monrovia.

Police Spokesman Sam Collins said the closure order issued on Sunday followed a bloody clash among customers on Friday night. Exodus has been one of the local entertainment areas attracting customers of all social classes. But Sam said the Friday night incident left many persons seriously wounded, thus prompting the latest police action to have the center closed.

The LNP says Exodus Entertainment Center will remain closed until necessary Public Safety measures are put in place by the management for those visiting the entertainment center.

“The Liberia National Police believe that the safety of those visiting the entertainment center and that of the management is paramount, and as such, the center is hereby closed until those public safety issues can be addressed,” Sam said.
