The Liberia Football Association or LFA is belief to have aided foreigners in defrauding the state of needed revenue when it allow foreign footballers to ply their trade here without obtaining work and resident permit as required by the alien and nationality law of the country.
One of such persons who was allowed by the FA, is Emile Manghe, a Nigerian who did not obtained a work and resident permit but was allowed to gain employment with one of the country’s leading clubs, Liberia FC AK.
According to the alien and nationality law of Liberia, before a foreigner or alien live and work here, he or she must have his or her paper work done (processed) from the Bureau of Immigration and Labor Ministry through said employer, but this was not the case with the footballer in question, Manghe.
The FA aso violated certain provisions of its own handbook which required that before any local club employs the services of a foreign player, they must obtain a valid work permit.
But this was not the case with Nigerian defender, Emile Manghe against whom, a formal protest was filed in the after his current employer, Liberia-FCAK whipped IE 2-1 almost sending the yellow boys into relegation.
However from the protest result, Invincible Eleven or IE seems to have had the upper-hand if that game results to be overturned in an effort to keep the latter in safety zone.
