Finance Boss Awards L$70,000 Scholarship To 9th Grader

Finance Minister Amara Konneh, has awarded scholarship worth over 70,000 Liberian Dollars to an 11-year-old 9th grader in Gbarnga, Bong County. Josephus Koiwood, who is a student of the St. Mark’s Lutheran High School, was awarded the scholarship for his brilliant introduction of President Ellen Johnson- Sirleaf during the recent national vision 2030 conference held in the county.

A Finance Ministry release disclosed that the scholarship covers the remaining years of student Koiwood’s secondary education, including WAEC fees for ninth and twelve grades, respectively.

The release further disclosed that the fund for the scholarship has already been delivered to the school’s administration. This is the second in a series of personal gesture from Finance Minister Amara Konneh. He recently paid the WAEC fees for twelve grade students from four schools in Gbarnga, Bong County.
