Firestone Rewards Long Servicing Employees

About 88 long service employees of Firestone Liberia on Thursday, April 14, 2011, received certificates of honor and recognition for their commitment and dedication to duty while still in the employ of the institution for 15 and 20 years respectively. The colorful ceremony took place at the Field House in Harbel.

Speaking on behalf of the Management of Firestone Liberia, the Pensions and Benefits Manager, Mr. J. Feay Roberts congratulated the honorees for their dedication, commitment and passion to their respective assigned duties. Mr. Roberts pointed out that to receive such a service award clearly indicates that such  employee is responsible and disciplined.

Speaking on behalf of his colleagues, Mr. Joseph J. Franklin of the Agricultural Production Department thanked the Management of Firestone Liberia for the honor bestowed upon them. He pointed out that it was through the help of God that they were able to reach thus far, and not by their might.

Mr. Franklin also used the occasion to congratulate his colleagues for remaining steadfast over the years. He advised other employees who have not obtain the years to follow the fine examples of the honorees. He further urged his fellow employees to be hard working and dedicated to their respective duties. The spokesman for the honorees, on behalf of his fellow compatriots, pledged their unflinching support to the success of the company.

Out of the eighty-eight honored employees, forty-seven are assigned with the Agricultural Production Department, while the rest work with the Plant Protection, Centrifuge, Community Affairs, Engineering and Block Rubber, as well as Garage and Material Control departments.

Along with the certificates of recognition, the honorees received golden pins from the Management of Firestone Liberia as a token of appreciation for their hard work. The honoring ceremony was graced by the presence of an array of managers, superintendents, teammates and relatives of the honorees. 

It was climaxed by a sumptuous dinner hosted by management in honor of the recipients. It can be recalled that on March 17, 2011, over two hundred (200) employees were honored for five and ten years respectively. During the program, the employees were commended by the Management of Firestone Liberia for being responsive to their respective assigned duties.
