Former Bong Senatorial Candidate Shows Appreciation

Internal Affairs Minister Henrique Flomo Tokpa, last weekend, appreciated the people of Bong County for their support to him during the 2014 Special Senatorial Election when he participated as a Senatorial candidate.

Bringing together a record-political crowd, the former Cuttington University President hailed the people of the County for supporting his initiatives over the years. Dr. Tokpa, who was fraudulently defeated by current Senator Jewel Howard-Taylor as evidenced by the Supreme Court’s intervention and decision, expressed heartfelt gratitude to Bongese for their prayers and guidiance while at Cuttington University and during his political expedition in 2014.

Dr. Tokpa told thousands of citizens from across Bong County that his intention to enter politics in 2014 was to serve his people – an objective he still has. Other speakers, including the heads of the Motorcycle Union, Liberia Marketing Association, as well as Muslim Council of Bong County, among others, described the Thanksgiving Program by Dr. Tokpa as unprecedented and welcoming.
