Gbarnga to benefit electricity before July 26

Bong County District#3 Representative J. Marvin Cole, promises here to provide electricity to the provincial city of Gbarnga, Bong County in central Liberia before celebration for Liberia’s 171st Independence on July 26th.


According to the Bong County Jorquelleh District#3 lawmaker, his office has procured 1,000 solar panels to electrify Gbarnga.“We are going to start planning those light poles in the city in order to rescue our people from the darkness in the city. I can assure citizens of Bong that undermine administration that as Representative of Jorquelleh District, I will lobby with colleagues at the National Legislature in making sure that Gbarnga City is transformed to a better city in the country. To be a Representative is not only the name, but you should be able to transform lives and the living condition in the district, because they trusted you with their power through voting for you as their lawmaker,” Cole says.

He notes that gone were those days when citizens of Bong commemorated Independence Day in darkness, since the county was established in 1964.Rep. Cole continues that gone were the days when political hustlers exploited the goodwill of the people in ascending to power and later abandon them.

The Bong County lawmaker also assures members of his constituency that he has brought to the Country business partners, who already met with President George Weah, expressing interest in investing in Agriculture.

A former mayor for Gbarnga City, he discloses that US$10 million has already been allotted for agriculture purposes in the county, which would enable students graduating from high schools, have an opportunity to work and save money to pursue higher education.

Rep. Cole spoke at the 61st Gala Anniversary of the Dolokelen Gboveh High School in Gbarnga where he served as keynote speaker and presented 30,000 Liberian Dollars to the administration of the school as a personal contribution towards efforts in molding minds of young people for future responsibilities.
