Gen. Williams Takes over USARAF Command

Major. General Darryl A. Williams has taken-over the command of the United States Army Africa (USARAF) and the Southern European Task Force (SETAF) from Major General Patrick J. Donahue II. According to a release issued in Monrovia last weekend, the U.S. Army Africa changed command over to Maj. Gen. Donahue on June 2, 2014 at Camp Ederle in Italy at a ceremony.

Mr. Maj. Gen. Williams shared his previous experience as a commanding General and the Deputy Commanding General for Support of the 2nd Infantry Division in Korea, as well as the Deputy Commanding General for U.S. Army Europe.

According to Gen. Williams, after the proclamation of command, Maj. Gen. Donahue will instantly take over as the Deputy Commanding General of the U.S. Forces, being in Command at Fort Bragg, New Caster (NC) in no time.
