Goal Drought Hunts Liberian Internationals

Liberian international strikers playing in the Israeli national football league are still struggling to find their scoring boats  since the commencement of the league two months.

In the Israeli premiership, Amos Kollie of Hapoel Haifa has played five games from the club’s eight league matches, but the Liberian failed to nail a single goal. Kollie last played for league one side, Hapoel Nazareth Illit during the last season when he scored nine goals in total.

Liberia’s premiership Golden Boot holder Vatalis Sie, playing in the first division for Hapoel Nazareth Illit- the former club of Amos Kollie is  yet to register a goal in ten matches now, three in the FA Cup and seven league matches.

Even though Ben Martin of Hapoel Nazareth Illit landed two goals during the club’s last game of last season, he is yet to get a single one this season  like fellow Liberians Amos Kollie and Vatalis Sie.

Stanley Whitfield, signed on by Hapoel Irony Herzliya the employer of another Liberian defender Gizzie Dorbor, is also being hunted by the goal drought among Liberian players in Israel. He was in action yesterday against Maccabi Sheva Beer as this paper went to press.
