Renowned Liberian human rights advocate and lawyer, Cllr. Tiawan Saye Gongloe will formally respond to Team Gongloe’s petition to run for the Office of President of Liberia in 2023.
A release issued Wednesday, 10 November 2021 says the historic event will take place in Ganta, Nimba County on Saturday, 4 December 2021.
Ahead of the occasion, Team Gongloe is currently mobilizing Liberians particularly the people of Nimba to join the Movement in convincing the erudite lawyer to positively respond to the petition and to massively attend the program.
In furtherance of the mobilization, a Team Gongloe media crew kicked off a systematic public affairs activity in Ganta, Nimba County on Monday, 8 November 2021. The crew appeared live on Ganta-based Radio Kergemah and the broadcast was relayed by eight other FM stations across the County.

During the broadcast, 16 persons from Liberia, USA and Cyprus participated via phone. Of this, 8 expressed their unflinching support of the Counsellor if he consented to contest, 4 offered suggestions, and 4 said they would not vote for him.
The impressive outcome of the mini-radio sampling is a testament to how Liberians eagerly wait to see their country transformed by an integral public servant such as Cllr. Gongloe if he is elected President of Liberia.
The erudite lawyer attained feats beneficial to Liberia. As Solicitor-General, among other noticeable accomplishments, he ensured that his colleagues got periodic training that enabled them to cope with time, speed, and technology that the law practice demanded.

Then, as Minister of Labor, he was relentless in putting to work the “Liberianization Policy” his predecessors made quiescent to the disadvantage of Liberia and Liberians.
Overall, Tiawan’s stance on the rule of law is unequivocal. His uncompromising position on the issue of justice for individuals/the state has made him participate in efforts of civil society groups that petitioned the Legislature to establish Economic & War Crimes Court in Liberia in fulfillment of the recommendations of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC).
Tiawan is humble and handy. He provides pro-bono legal services to indigenes such as journalists, student rights activists, and civil society and human rights campaigners.
