Gov’t wins 400 acres land case in Bong

The Ninth Judicial Circuit Court in Bong County has brought down final verdict in favor of government, following a legal battle against the Nimely Family over 400 acres of land in Gbarnga City.


Some residents were recently taken to court by the county Land Commissioner Charles Fahnlon King, on grounds that they were claiming government properties. The Niamey Family has on many occasions, claimed the 400 acres of land situated in Gbarnga between the properties of Juaffia Johnson on the Lofa Road and Sangay Farm.

But our correspondent says after several court appearances, the Ninth Judicial Circuit Court finally brought down a verdict in favor of the Government of Liberia.The government now has the writ in its possession to evict occupants off its 400 acres of land on which the Gbarnga Regional Justice and Security Hub is situated.
