Govt. to construct nurses’ quarters in Maryland

Maryland County Superintendent Betsy Toe, has disclosed plans by the Government to construct nurses’ quarters in three of the four districts in the county. Superintendent Toe said the quarters which are to contain 15 units will be constructed in in Harper, Barrobo and Karluway districts, respectively.

Disclosing this to reporters recently at her office in the Harper Administration Building, she said the Ministry of Health has already requested the county leadership to provide land for the project. She at the same time denied reports circulating in the county that Government has cancelled this year’s July 26 Independence Day celebrations in Grand Gedeh, River Gee and Marland counties.

Superintendent Toe said has not been officially of any cancellation, and that will not deter development in the county. According to her, development projects in Maryland, including roads construction are on course with citizens’ cooperation.
