Grand Bassa leaders dedicate projects

A mood of jubilation overwhelmed citizens of electoral district one, Grand Bassa county immediately after the Administrative and Legislative Authorities of the county cut ribbons to three projects.
In separate locations, the projects that include a market building, the refurbished Barclayville Public School and the renovated Administrative Building were all turned over recently to the citizens after what the Leaders described as a remarkable job done by the Project Management Committee headed by Moses Gbehzohngar Henry.
The market project is situated in Owengrove that serves as gateway to Grand Bassa near the Margibi- Farmington Bridge, while the Administrative Building that hosts the District Authorities is on the Civil Compound of Diahnblae Statutory District.
They were resolved along with several projects and programs during the 2021 County Development Council Sitting held in the Fairground Pavilion in Buchanan under a US$2.7 million projected fund, but the County received US$1.7 million for the implementation.
During the dedicatory ceremony, Grand Bassa county Senator Jonathan L. Kaipay, Superintendent Janjay Baikpeh, PMC leadership and the Acting Caucus Chairman, Vincent T. Willie were amongst Leaders who graced the occasion as elders, women and youths celebrated.
According to the Project Management Committee, the market value is US$49,000, while the Administrative Building costs US$75,000 and the Barclayville Public School renovation is set at US$18,500, respectively.
