Gruesome murders disturbing

The President of the Liberia Council of Churches (LCC), Bishop Kortu K. Brown, terms recent wave of mysterious and gruesome killings of peaceful citizens here as disturbing, unimaginable and awful

Bishop Brown says these alarmingly brutal and gruesome murders as well as mysterious disappearances of individuals are horrifying and must be condemned.
In a press statement issued in Monrovia, Wednesday, April 18, the Bishop laments that such acts are purely unacceptable because they project negative image of Liberia following the complete drawdown of the UN Mission, UNMIL.

The LCC President calls on the Government of Liberia to speedily investigate and bring to justice culprits of such awful and vicious crimes in Liberia. He further urges the government to reinforce security measures across the country to ensure a peaceful and safe society for all persons.

Bishop Brown spoke at the headquarters of the Liberia Council of Churches in the 15th Street, Sinkor suburb of Monrovia on Wednesday.
The Bishop’s call comes in the wake of the recent murdered of the late Princess Boe, 24, who was found dead in a lake of blood in bed, while her boyfriend, Lassana Kenneth, was by her side in the same bed unconscious with his penis slashed.

Subsequently this week, Liberian Journalist Tyron Brown, who worked as a reporter, camera operator and video editor for Super FM & TV, owned by Businessman George Kailando, was reportedly sodomized, murdered and his body dump in his Dupot Road Community, Paynesville City, among other similar crimes across the country.
