Help Educate Assist Lives Inc. (HEAL), a U.S. – based organization has donated food and assorted items to three orphanages in support of COVID – 19 relief efforts.
According to a press release, the donation came at a time many orphanages are faced with the challenge of feeding the children during this crisis.
Making the donation, Mr. SandoKarneh, Executive Director of the organization said HEAL saw it fit to partner with Orphans Concern in order to provide food for orphanages during this global crisis.
Considering the nature of the pandemic, there are many families that are going through difficulties and orphanages are among the most vulnerable and his organization’s intervention is to bring some relief by providing them some food during this crisis.
He praised Orphan Concern for its advocacy over the years and averred that as the leaders in orphans advocacy in Liberia, HEAL found it fit to partner with them.Receiving the donation, the Executive Director of Orphan Concern Amb. Amos Sawboh thanked Mr. Karneh for the donation.
He said this is the most difficult time in the life of orphans and the donation came at a time that the organization is overwhelmed with the numerous appeals for support.
He said, though he is interested in getting sanitary materials for the home, it’s also important that food and other items needed for the children’s upkeep be considered. He concluded that this is a beginning of forging a big partnership between the both organizations.—Press release
