How They Finished

Liberians playing in various leagues across the world have climaxed the first phases of their respective leagues. In Israel, Patrick Doeplah and George Baysah of Hapoel Kfar Saba FC finished 2nd on the league table.

The club gathered 33 points from 15 matches.  The club won 10 of its matches, drew three and lost two. Hapoel Kfar Saba FC resumes the second phase on January 1st 2011 at their home ground against 8th placed side, Hapoel Bnei Lod FC. Doeplah is the club top scorer this season with 7 goals and one in the championship.

Ben Martin of Hapoel Nazareth Ilit FC is positing 15th on the table, with 8 points from 15 games. The club secured 2 wins, 2 draws and 11 losses matches.  Gizzie Dorbor’s Hapoel Irony Herzelia FC   is 7th place on the table, with 23 points from 15 fixtures.

The club signed Dorbor at the start of the season from Maccabi Ironi Bat Yam, another Israeli side in the same division. With a few Liberians now in Europe, Solomon Grimes of Greek side Ethnikos Piraeus FC had a poor finishing.

Ethnikos Piraeus FC stopped at the 16th position on the 18 team- chart.The club won three of its 17 games, settled in 5 and dropped in 7.

Isaac Pupo’s Greek premier league club Panionios FC failed to improve their standing as they stopped 15th on the sixteen team bench. The club suffered defeat in 8 matches, shared points in 3 and won 4.

In Sweden, former Mighty Barrolle hit-man’s club, Elfsborg FC succeeded in finishing 4th on the table with 47 points.

The club earned 12 wins from 30 matches, 11 draws and 7 losses. Ben Teekloh’s Romanian side, Sport Club Astra Ploiesti FC will be hoping for a better 2nd phase as they finished 9th among 18 teams.

The club is pocketing 22 points from 18 games played. They won 4 games, drew 9 and lost 5. Astra Ploiesti FC will resume their campaign on February 12 2011 against Gloria Bistrita FC.

In Turkey, Lone Star central back Jimmy Dixon’s Manisaspor FC came 12th from 17 games. Manisaspor FC caught 7 victories, drew one game and failed to win 9.  Jimmy netted home two goals for the club. Manisaspor FC will face Besikatas FC on the 12th of January 2011.

The club of Liberia’s Theo Weeks, Ankaragucu FC earned 21 points. Ankaragucu FC smile in 5 games dropped points in 6 and lost 5. The club finished 13th place on the table and will challenge Bucaspor FC in the Turkiye Kupasi on 12th January 2011.

Russian giant CSKA Moscow of Sekou Jabateh came 2nd on the table, with 62 points from 30 matches.

The club won 18 games, lost 8 and drew 7.  Sekou played the highest matches among all Liberian players in Europe for his club.  In South Africa, SuperSport of Anthony Laffor is sitting 13th on the table, with 13 points from 12 games.

The club managed to win three games, drew 4 and lost 5. In the 1st division, Abu Sando’s Aziz Kara FC will have to improve their chances during the 2 phase.

The club is holding 10 points from 10 games played so far. In Australia, striker Alex Jackson has resumed training with White City FC for the upcoming national football League.
