A newly established Non- Governmental Organization, “Johanna Finisse International (JFI)” located in New Georgia Estate, a suburb of Monrovia over the weekend donated several items to widows, and less fortunate children.
The Executive Director of the organization, J. Mulbah Soloyannowillie said the gesture is intended to help transform the lives of people who are in need, especially widows.
“As far I’m concerned, there are women and children in various communities that need to be cared for,” he emphasized. He narrated that the JFI is a non-political and non-profit group, dedicated to improving lives in the fight against poverty in the country.
Items donated by the group include: pencils, books, and other educational materials to students in the New Georgia Community. Soloyannowillie also stressed the need for national government to come to the aid of the citizenry in face of the current harsh economic environment.
“It is the responsibility of the government to provide the needs of its citizens, especially the needy.
For his part, the national secretary general of the group, Ousman Tuweh said the effort is geared at putting smiles on the faces of the people and to make them feel better. He said it is good to be creative and innovative in order to make the living condition of the people better.
