Gender, Children and Social Protection Minister Julia Duncan Cassell have reacted to a story in Monday’s Edition of the New Dawn Newspapers that links her and other government officials to defection from the Unity Party.
Minister Duncan Cassell in a release said at no time did she defect from the Unity Party. “I have no intention to defect from the UP and am not even thinking about doing such”, she stated.
Minister Cassell said she believes in institution building and will sort out whatever differences, if she has such with the party but will not defect.
She urged the paper to countercheck the facts before going public. “I remain a card bearing, due paying and a committed member of the Unity Party”, her statement concluded.
