I.E. Bids Richard Tolbert Farewell

Invincible Eleven (IE) Majestic Sports Association outgoing President, Dr. Richard Tolbert, urged players of the club to always do their best in national leagues.

Speaking over the weekend during a farewell lunch held in his honor at the Airfield Entertainment Center in Sinkor, Monrovia, after three years of service, Dr. Tolbert told the players that it was time for him to quit the leadership because he has played his part and was now time to give way to a new leadership.

Responding on behalf of fellow players, I.E. Captain, Segbe Peter, commended Dr. Tolbert for his tenure of service and assured him that they will never forget the responsible manner in which he led the club.

“We as players owe you, Dr. Tolbert, a debt of gratitude and we have begun to feel your absence because you were always with us during difficult and good times; we will miss you”, said Segbe.

It can be recalled that under Dr. Tolbert’s leadership, I.E. won the Golden Image Award and sent two players abroad, Herron Berrian and Dweh Allison, for professional soccer. Allison went to Palmieres to Brazil while Berrian landed in Free State All Stars in South Africa, but now plays in Greece.

Meanwhile, Dr. Tolbert has thanked fans, players, technical staff and Board members of I.E. for their support to the “Sunshine Yellow Boys.”
