Ducor Magic will battle Kardinal this afternoon at battle ground; the only open air Sports Commission on Broad Street in the female category of the ongoing Liberia Basketball Federation or LBF 2010 National Championship race.

Already the team is said to be in high spirit for the match as the players look forward to the encounter describing it as a must win game.

Despite Ducor Magic defeats by several of her opponents in the competition, the head Coach of the team Howard Sieh has congratulated his much improved team after every game.

“Ducor Magic continues to improve in every game as a result of the basic trainings techniques the players are being taught by us on a daily basis,” Sieh maintains.

Speaking to the NewDawn Sports recently in Monrovia, Sieh said the girls are highly impressive and he believes that they will capture the Championship title at the end of the next league season.

According to him, his side is a very young team stating that “these girls have never play Basketball in their life, but we are bringing them up to become some of Liberia’s finest female Basketball icons.”

He then lauded the team’s president Amos Brosius for what he calls his (Brosius) unwavering one hundred percent support in providing all the team needs as it relates to getting them ready for  their respective matches during the competition.

In other Basketball matches today, Commissioners will meet Angel Shooters in an all female pairing, while Uhuru Kings will sort things out with Wild Cats in the last match of the day.

Meanwhile, the competition will continue this weekend at the same venue with more breath taking and seat shaking Basketball matches.

On Saturday, triple defending Champion NPA deadly Pythons will be all out against Flames, while on Sunday evening the league is expected to bring to eyes flaming and desperate Uhuru Kings as they take on rise and fall Mighty Barrolle.
