Information boss pays courtesy call at NewDawn

Liberia’s Information Minister, Lewis Brown, has paid a courtesy call on The NewDawn as part effort aimed at strengthening government’s relationship with media houses here.

On Monday, 27 October, Minister Brown held brief talks with NewDawn’s Manager, Othello B. Garblah, touching on the recently signed Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of Liberia and the Press Union of Liberia or PUL as well as measures to be taken by both parties. The courtesy call by the Minister to this paper is part of several visits Brown has paid to other media houses here.

Meanwhile, NewDawn Manager Garblah has acknowledged a fruitful discussion with Minister Brown and assured the paper’s readiness to continue on a reasonable footing in carrying out its responsibility for the good of the society.
