Laffor Promises Success
Anthony Laffor’s South African triple champions, SuperSports United will face Engen Santos Football Club today in their 12th league contest at the Athlone Stadium.
Skipper Laffor has vowed to score in today’s game, after failing to net in past matches. Laffor, playing against Golden Arrow FC last Saturday, was not seen impressive by fans as they drew 0-0 at home.
SuperSport is yet to gain control of the South African premier league as defending champions. The club failed to win more than five of its premier league matches this season, as compared to last season.
The club Most Valuable player Anthony Laffor has just netted home three goals this season. He scored two of his goals in the premier league, and one in the Netbank Cup.
The Liberian forward is under pressure on his legs to deliver the needed result for the club today. The skipper described the league as challenging for them, owing to the fact that many teams did great signings.
He noted that SuperSport will make progress this season, “but for now we are hoping for a win today.”
