Lone star skipper Anthony Laffor is set for club action on Saturday. The striker missed SuperSport United 2-1 victory away to Bloemfontien Celtic on the 14th of November 2010.
Laffor was out of action due to injuries and will be returning to the starting 11. Laffor came on as substitute in the club 2-2 action at home to visiting side Maritzburg United on 10-Nov-2010.
The forward has been linked to a move in South Africa with Sundown FC. The player described news about his link as true, but he received numerous of offers, but remains focus on his contract at SuperSport because he has a deal with them.
The club is 9th on the table, with 11 points from 8 matches. The club managed to have won three of their 8 matches, losing three and drawing two. The striker is struggling to gain his form from last season. SuperSport will be away on Saturday to Moroka Swallows FC in the 9th premier league encountered this season.
SuperSport has improved their squad with lots of new tactics. Many fans of the national team, the Lone Star are unhappy with Laffor’s inability to land the ball at the back of the net for the national team matches.
Laffor moved to South Africa from Ghanaian club side Ash Gold, and has made his name in the soccer dictionary of that country. He started with first division side Jomo Cosmo FC, but was dropped from the senior team due to a pre contract signed with SuperSport.
