The body of the late Lofa County Representative Eugene Fallah Kpakar arrives at the Roberts International Airports Monday following his recent death in India where he had gone to seek medication.
Fellow lawmakers led by Speaker Emanuel Nuquay, family members and sympathizers, including officials of the opposition Liberty Party, which the fallen lawmaker was a member, where on hand to receive the coffin bringing his remains draped in the Flag of the Republic of Liberia.
The mood at the RIA in Margibi County yesterday was characterized by wailing as the body was escorted to Monrovia. The remains of the late lawmaker were escorted to Monrovia immediately after airport ceremonies and deposited at the Samuel A. Stryker Funeral Home in Sinkor, Monrovia pending official burial.
Speaker Nuquay said the House of Representatives is in close contact with the bereaved family for all further arrangements. The 41-yrs old Liberty Party lawmaker died at 7:45 a.m. on Thursday, November 10 at the Polay Hospital in India after battling sickness. Rep. Kpakar entered national politics in 2005 and won re-election in 2011.
